Building strength to prevent injury is not about what you CAN do, but rather, what you CANNOT do. As simple as it sounds, it's not always that easy. It's ALL about balance.
To build strength safely it's important to consider the overall balance between mobility and stability throughout the entire human movement system.
In this hands on workshop students and teachers will:
? Learn the fundamentals of strength training and why it's essential for injury prevention
? Understand the basic functions of the human movement system
? Learn how to identify & assess movement restrictions using multiple screening tests
? Analyze common injuries
? Learn when and how to implement corrective exercise strategies to improve movement function
? Practice hands on training techniques to optimize primal movement patterns, build strength, and enhance overall mobility and stability of the HMS.
This workshop is for Yoga Teachers and anyone interested in an immersive training in this subject. This workshop offers 3 CEUS.
