Come to WEAM for a figure drawing class with a live nude model. This class is appropriate for all levels, from beginning to advanced students. Students will begin with gesture drawings of the model’s contour movements as a warm up, followed by a single pose drawing focused on developing the structure from the inside out (the Da Vinci method). Students will also receive critiques from instructor Tony Coro. Fee includes all class materials and museum admission. / / / Tony Coro has an MFA from Rutger University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts with a specialization in drawing and painting. He has won the Liquitex Fine Art Award (1987), the Brendan Byrne Fellowship (Rutgers 1990), and the Pollock-Krasner Fellowship (2006). He has been teaching figure drawing since 1990 and currently teaches life drawing at the Miami Art League. You can see his work at orocoro.com.
